About
Who is Dr. Laurie B. Fox?
Based in Los Angeles, and serving clients globally, Dr. Fox has specialized in neuropsychological assessment for adolescents and young adults for over twenty years. She has taught Adolescent Development at University of Southern California and owned a private neuropsychology practice specializing in mental health evaluations, specifically for teens and young adults.
Her approach is comprehensive and highly individualized. By identifying each client’s unique combination of values, interests, personality, and strengths, she provides a clear roadmap toward career satisfaction and personal fulfillment. Her evidence-based, bespoke evaluations offer deep insight into who you are, and how to align that with the right educational and career paths.
Beyond assessment, Dr. Fox takes a hands-on and relational approach to job seeking. She uses kindness, compassion, and positivity to help clients foster authentic, genuine connections to optimize their unique career objectives.

Education & Areas of Expertise
Dr. Fox earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Southern California.
During her time at USC, she served as chief research assistant on an interdisciplinary study of reading disabilities, collaborating across psychology, linguistics, and computer science to examine subtypes of dyslexia in elementary school students. She also acted as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in adolescent and developmental psychology.
Following her doctoral training, Dr. Fox completed postdoctoral work in educational, attentional, and psychological assessment in Los Angeles. In 2004, she founded her private practice, specializing in psychological assessment for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, working with treatment centers including Visions Adolescent Treatment Center and The Canyon Treatment Center.
Since 2022, she has served as an assessment psychologist at Whole Child Neurodevelopment Group in Encino, where she specializes in diagnosing ADHD, learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other mental health conditions in adolescents.
Her hobbies include playing tennis, and spending time with her husband, two college-age daughters (attending the University of Michigan and Georgetown University), and her miniature long-haired Dachshund, Winston.
